What’s TurboTax SuperStatus?

TurboTax SuperStatus is the ridiculously easy, super fun contest where we give you a challenge, and you solve it by updating your status on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter with your answer.  The only thing could stand between you and thousands of dollars in prizes is a couple lines of type. It’s… awesomely easy.

You’re already updating your status, why not have a little fun and win prizes for it?

We’ll pick winners based on how original your status is, how well you answer the challenge, and how many of your friends and followers see your status.

We’ll play a lot of challenges, and each time the prize is different.

So how do you play?

How to Play TurboTax SuperStatus

• You can play through Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter, or all three.
• Grab the widget or visit SuperStatusContest.com to find out when each TurboTax SuperStatus game is happening, read the challenge, and check out the prize that’s up for grabs.
• Then, play on one or ALL of the social networks by updating your status with your answer to the challenge.
• Keep your eye on the challenge countdown clock,  to know how much time you have left.
• We’ll start judging statuses when that clock hits 00:00:00. If you’re playing on MySpace, DON’T change your status until the widget says judging is over.
• Finalists will be notified via private message and winners will also be posted on SuperStatusContest.com

TO PLAY ON FACEBOOK:

1. Become a fan of TurboTax on Facebook
2. Post your response to the challenge in your Facebook status
3. Place a copy of your status on the TurboTax wall
4. Increase your chances: play as many times as you want during each challenge countdown. Simply repeat steps 2 and 3

TO PLAY ON TWITTER:

1. Become a follower of TurboTax on Twitter
2. Tweet your response to the challenge
3. Increase your chances: play as many times as you want during each challenge countdown. Simply repeat steps 1 and 2

TO PLAY ON MYSPACE:

1. Become a friend of TurboTax on MySpace
2. Post your response to the challenge in your MySpace status
3. Make sure your status is live and posted when the challenge countdown clock hits 00:00:00, and don't change your status while we show the “now judging” message

How to Win

• Post an original and clever status thats makes us laugh, cry, or ponder — the more original and unique, the better.
• Post a status that’s relevant to the challenge’s theme — be on topic.
• Get more friends/followers — the more friends and followers you have the better your chances are of winning.
• Playing through all three sites (Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter) with three *different* status updates triples your chances of winning.
• You can post as many entries as you want on Facebook and Twitter while the clock is counting down. MySpace players can only post a single entry, which must be posted live to be judged when the countdown clock hits 00:00:00.
• If you want, work TurboTax products into your status somehow.
• Don’t use profanity, and avoid mentioning any competitors of TurboTax.
